Teachers Little Helper is a desktop application for teachers. This policy describes how the app handles information when you use it.
When you sign in with Google, the app may access data you authorize, including:
The app may also store data you enter locally (notes, ratings, attendance, schedules) and data from optional integrations (e.g. SchoolSoft, Studybee) if you enable them.
Data is used only to provide app features: displaying classes and students, downloading and reviewing student work, grading, attendance, notes, and optional cloud backup/sync. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Core teaching data is stored locally on your computer (SQLite database and downloaded files). If you enable Google Drive sync, selected app data is stored in a dedicated folder in your Google Drive (TeachersLittleHelperData). Google OAuth tokens are stored locally and encrypted where supported by your operating system.
We do not operate servers that receive or store your Google Classroom or student data.
The app communicates with Google APIs (Classroom, Drive) and, if you choose, other school systems. Those services have their own privacy policies. We do not share your data with other third parties except as required by law.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data in your Google Drive backup folder remains until you delete it in Drive. You can sign out in the app to remove stored OAuth tokens on your device.
The app is intended for teachers and school staff, not for direct use by students. Teachers are responsible for using the app in line with their school’s policies and applicable law when handling student information.
You can use the app without signing in to Google (with reduced functionality). You can revoke the app’s access at any time in your Google Account permissions.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
